The Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Region combines everything that lovers of the North wants – the severe and memorable traditions of people, legendary camps, as well as incomparable Siberian delicacies and the rich sports life of the region. The local population of the region will be your guide to the world of breathtaking, useful leisure. For example, at ethnic pastures, those who wish can learn how to harness a deer and drive a sled, and then treat themselves to the gastronomic delights of Ugra. Among the main delicacies are Sosva herring, marman kanek (pike caviar with cranberries), soup with dumplings, pine nuts, knyazhenika and much more.

Another option for an impressive holiday will be a visit to one of the largest Aquatics aquariums in Russia in the city of Kogalym. Aquatics inhabitants – moray eels, piranhas, crocodiles and winged stingrays help visitors get an adrenaline boost. By the way, you can safely visit them – the services of the aquarium include diving to a depth of 3-4 meters.

A separate source of positive emotions is the sports holidays of the peoples of the North. One of such events is the Day of Oblas, when participants demonstrate their skills of rowing on dugout boats, as well as the "Yugra Ski Marathon". The event is attended by both professional athletes – members of the Russian national ski racing and biathlon teams, Olympic champions – and fans of an active lifestyle. The 2022 Marathon brought together more than 3,800 athletes of different levels of training. This year, a high-profile event will take place on April 7-8 in Khanty-Mansiysk.

The summer season for Khanty and Mansi is marked by the rite of worship of the Water spirit Vit Hon. According to the legends of the local population, a harsh but fair owner of reservoirs can be approached with a request for a rich catch and a successful swim. In honor of the holiday, national games are organized on the territory of the Nefteyugansk district, such as the nyul-takhli wrestling, tasting of Khanty cuisine, visiting the camp of the Yugan Khanty "Punsi Puut" on the site of a separate base, and also an ethnodiscoteca.

Another bright event for lovers of the water element is the X–waters open water swim, which will take place on July 15-16 in Khanty-Mansiysk. Participants are invited to swim across the largest river in Siberia – the Irtysh

Ugra allows you to open new horizons for fans of winter entertainment. The region invites those who wish to take part in the training camp for cross-country skiing "Ugra. The first snow" under the leadership of Olympic champions. Professionals will help to hone the technique of skiing and master the program for participants of any level of training – from beginner to advanced.
